Patients must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for treatment.
For GLP-1 medications, providers generally consider patients with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or higher, or a BMI of 27 or higher if they have a weight-related medical condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, or sleep apnea.
BMI is only one part of the evaluation. A licensed provider will review your complete medical history, current health status, and treatment goals to determine whether a GLP-1 medication is safe and appropriate for you.
